Cactus Muster at the Alice Springs Telegraph Station
28/10/2010
Group: Old Data | Spencer

The weather forecast for Sunday looks perfect, for a morning of rounding up feral cactus (Cylindropuntia fulgida).

Bring BBQ tongs, a bucket, waterbottle, hat and gloves.

With the soil moisture and cool conditions we should be able to easily pull out lots of cactus plants.

Meet at Gosse Street Park, 8:30am, Sunday 31st of October 2010. A 15 minute walk along the Stuart Track will take us to the site on the hills above the Telegraph Station. A great spot for sighting wallabies and hill kangaroos plus, hopefully, lots of birds.

Come and help make a positive change to the local environment! Kids welcome!!!
