Field day a great success

Big thanks for coming to our recent Field Day!
We had a massive Buffel Bust in Spencer Valley, with over 20 people, a lovely mix of experienced and new volunteers.
Such beautiful weather for it, no flies, and yummy food to eat too!!
My expectations were exceeded wonderfully – we managed to clear the seeded clumps out of the whole tip of the triangle!
Plus the Community Garden got three deliveries of buffel for their veggie beds – a win-win.
Wish I’d taken some photos of those overflowing tarps. Whoops.
I’m planning a few more mornings over winter,
most likely beginning this Saturday 12th between 7am and 8.30am – Buffel –
meeting east of the Bike Information Shelter
(bearing in mind the Australian Plant Society and Alice Springs Field Naturalists
are doing a walk at to another Landcare site that morning
leaving opposite 102 Kurrajong Dve at 8.45am)
and also Saturday 19th at Spencer Valley – probably Cactus – for those who are interested.
The following weekend Ilparpa will be having their first Field Day on Sunday 27th between 7.30 and midday out at the Claypans.
